Today (august 27) died "POPY" (Diony López). He was the most famous clowns from Venezuela, and of course he was very popular during my infancy. I did this small caricature of him as a little tribute.

I was invited to participate on a group caricature of the Spanish Football team to celebrate their victory on the Wold Cup. Several caricaturists were asked to draw a player. My assignment was to draw Gerard Piqué. I have to tell that I really enjoyed doing it.

I really enjoyed doing this one. It is based on Gjon Mili's photography "Picasso's Flashlight Centaur" taken on 1949. I think this series of drawings with light is fantastic, of course you have to imaging it was 1949.

Schnauzer Speed Painting (my dog Kami)

It was suppose to be a caricature of my dog. I'm not sure it ended too much as a caricature but it definitely was a good rendering exercise. It took me around two hours work.

I Love LOST. Actually I'm watching it right now... :)
I drew Locke a couple of years ago. I'm going to try to find it and post it here to see the difference. :)
I'm happy with the result, it might look like a lot of work but actually it was around 10 hours?

Well, I've been working on this one for a loooong time. She's Vanessa, my wife :)
I struggled to get a sketch that I really liked in the beginning. And them I just kept rendering and rendering until I couldn't get any further. This is the caricature that I have put more time and effort in.
I’m really happy with the result and she liked it too, so it means it is good :) She is my first critic and support, I wouldn't be here without her. TQM ;)

I'm sorry for the lack of post but I have been a little busy with the birth of my first son. His name is Samuel Andrés. He was born on March 31, He weighted 3780g (8.3lb) and measured 55cm (21.65").

Hard to say when I'll be back to the drawing board but I hope it will be soon.

My original Seiler!!!

Today I received the caricature that Jason Seiler drew of me for wining the chiustream contest!!! It looks SOOOO AWESOME!!!! It is amazing the level of detail that Jason can archive with just a pencil!!!

I can only imaging what these people in Haiti are going through. I painted this while watching a fundraiser on TV. It took me around two hours. I know it is hard to see it, and it isn’t what I normally do but that’s what I was feeling to draw.
